After fitting my 2nd 1080 it is near IMPOSSIBLE! To now lift my PC, i think it weights more than a dwarf star.

 

So there is only one answer to a LAN party for me..... i need a LAN Gaming PC! (or laptop)...

But aye, doubt many places would take us if we did a hall sided stream.

 

Think would be better if we worked on smaller streaming, see how it goes and how many people we can get on board =)

 

I think there could be something here if we get plenty of people joining in. Plus got a sever sitting behind me not doing much if that helps at all =)

Well, my small test this weekend worked, thanks to @Garacesh for being my v̶i̶c̶t̶i̶m̶assistant for that, although I'll try a larger test this week if I can get some more people together!

Nice stuff! Used to stream alot of Final fantasy 14, and other mmorpg's in my prime. I think with my 300mbit line/PC i should be ok as well hah.

 

And ahhh that game! I believe i own it, have to check when i get home. Also seen table top simulator?

 

Also, i have started replaying a old classic i enjoyed. Half life 1 mod called Sven Coop;

Some run and gun, but with alot comical effect! Got a server up and running if anyone has alike.

The test was a little janky, but functional. Since the party games are designed around having people in the same room, it doesn't lend itself so easily to being run it over the internet.

The actual stream to viewers could be done via Twitch but due to Twitch's 2-minute delay, we need a secondary solution for anybody wanting to participate in real-time (such as aforementioned party games). Google Hangouts screen share worked, but if anybody has other ideas, pitch 'em forward.

 

Unless we all wanna pitch in and rent out a physical space, AGDQ/Desert Bus/etc style

Skype seems to work fine with myself and alot of my friends. Tend to be around 8 of us all on, doing the same game, and myself hosting the screen share with audio.

 

Still loving the GDQ idea, would be a awesome meet up, along with alot gaming =P

Welp, this went quiet! Looks like there'll be nothing happening this weekend, but I'll continue to talk to everything to get something in place for future fundraising streams
