Dual Input

We use a Windows 10 laptop with an external 10" touchscreen monitor attached for school productions. The idea is one person can control audio/video cues on the touchscreen while the another controls the lighting software on the laptop itself. This works fine except for when the touchscreen is tapped the mouse cursor jumps on to the external monitor. For the most part this is only a minor annoyance, however there are times when we need to make lighting and audio/video changes in quick succession and this setup results in a slight delay while the lighting guy reclaims control of the cursor.

 

Does anyone know of a way to simultaneously control the two input devices so they don't interfere with each other?

I have just given this a quick try and unfortunately it doesn't allow you to move the two mice simultaneusly, even with multiple cursors selected both cursors jump to the most recent movement. I think it is more used for when multiple users use one computer, they can connect multiple mice and configure them with different settings (speed, left/right hand, etc) then whoever uses the computer at any one time can use their specifically configured mouse without having to continuously go in to mouse settings and reconfigure it.
