Can a Azure AD Connect server communicate with more than a single O365 tenancy

Can a Azure AD Connect server communicate with more than a single O365 tenancy and populate it with users?

 

We have a new O365 tenant for the trust which is configured for the domain name for the trust

 

Our existing AD Connect server has connections to the Local AD and the Azure AD for the current O365 tenant.

 

Before migrating emails from on premise to the new tenant I need to create accounts and licence them for Office 365 Education for faculty or Office 365 Education for students.

 

I am trying to work out if I can use the existing Azure AD Connect server configured with the additional connectors or if it's best to create a second one specifically for the new O365 presence.

 

If I create a new Azure AD Connect server can I connect more than one Azure AD Connect instance to our Local AD?

 

Any advice appreciated.
