Bankesy Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Good afternoon Does anybody know of a relatively straightforward way to turn off an individual Office 365 product for multiple users. Specifically we are thinking Teams because by default it has been enabled for all individuals (students and staff) but we would rather turn it off for everybody and then enable those who ask about it. I understand Teams requires enabling centrally to begin with but if the licence is already enabled for everybody and we switch it on then presumably anybody can access it. At the moment we don't even see the option to turn Teams on in the Admin Centre but I guess that's another issue. Thank you
simpsonj Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Almost certainly going to be need to be done via Powershell, I would use this as a starting point: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/How-can-Teams-be-administered-via-PowerShell/td-p/28455
NicholasEsping Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 When you turn teams on you can choose to turn it on for the faculty licenses and the student licenses. Unless you give all of your users the same license you will be able to choose which group you turn it on for. If you are curious how to turn it on under settings go to services & add-ins and select Microsoft Teams. 1
