Dos_Box Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I thought they were already (or planning to in the very near future) doing this under the guise of several ofther projects? - Pupils need internet lessons to thrive online, say Lords - BBC News Learning to survive in a world dominated by the internet should be as important for children as reading and writing, says a House of Lords report. Lessons about online responsibilities, risks and acceptable behaviour should be mandatory in all UK schools, the Lords Communications Committee argues. The internet is "hugely beneficial" but children need awareness of its hazards, said committee chairman Lord Best. Industry leaders said education was key to keeping children safe online.
pcstru Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 They should start by teaching politicians how to behave on the internet and how to provide truthful, accurate content. When they do that, perhaps pupils will be led by example. /Rant
mthomas08 Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Yes, as far as I know we've been educating students in the "internet" for over a decade before they had devices at home. We've been teaching them about E-Safety, online risks and that what they post is permanently online (in same way). Yet again showing how far behind they are to actually what happens in Schools. Perhaps they think we all still use blackboards and chalk.
