quiet_andy Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Hi all, I had an issue with Smoothwall and have had to restore from an old backup. Unfortunately I have lost a few rules so am in the process of recreating but I am stuck on remembering one. We have an external web address which points to an external IP address, this was then internally forwarded to an internal IP address via Smoothwall. So for example moodle.ourschool -> IP 1.2.3.4 -> Smoothwall NIC 6 -> Internal IP 10.11.12.13 Hopefully this make sense and someone can easily point me to the solution, this is a Moodle server running on Linux if that helps. Thanks
Achandler Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Port forwards on the smoothwall box. Network then Configuration then Port Forwards Make your source IP get forwarded to your internal Moodle IP, preserve the port (most likely), turn on Log and IPS if you use them. 1
