Hi,

I've got a very annoying apparently random error in some of my IT rooms.

Two supposedly identical PC's, student A logs onto PC A and gets all of their mapped drives. Student A then logs onto PC B get all of their mapped drives but cannot access their my documents (mapped drive).

Student B gets all drive mappings and access on both PC A and PC B.

Anybody got any trouble shooting ideas?

So far I've deleted all local profiles, removed PC from the Domain then added it again, forced GP update, disabled AV (and re enabled).

Not looked at Event viewer in detail yet.

This happens on a number f PC's

How are your drives being mapped? I used to have a VB script handle it all and it was really sensitive to timing. Had to add sleep statements to a few of the subs to make it work reliably. When I migrated everything over to GPP my issues with drive maps just disappeared. Had another annoying issue where I forgot to comment out the sub in the script as I progressively moved everything and had the script and GPP fighting over mappings. That lead to a day's worth of head scratching.

VB Script but as I say on PC A one user is OK but another isn't, PC B they are both OK it doesn't change it is the same for a number of PC's - unless there is a NIC issue?
