Dos_Box Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I like this! Chantry Primary Academy is doing a demonstration to show pupils just how fast an image can be shared over the internet. All you have to do is share this post on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ChantryPrimaryAcademy/posts/1395095370510641:0 It will be intresting to see how far this goes.
Joanne Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 We get strung up if we say e-safety here. It's Online Safety now and apparently OFSTED are all over it. (Although I'm not so sure they are as 'all over it' as our head thinks). 1

I have just been through Ofsted with my governor school. 1

Joanne Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 How is Online Safety a better name? What about stuff doesn't happen online? WOAH! Don't shoot the messenger! I think it covers stuff like console gaming and whatnot, because that is 'online'. You are more at risk from an 'online' game than an 'offline' one... Oh I dunno I'm not paid to think.

Im not shooting the messenger honest There was a recent case in another schools where students passed around some photos on pen drives. Seems there is still a market for offline stuff!

GuyJD Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 How is Online Safety a better name? What about stuff doesn't happen online? It isn't but there's someone sat in an office coming up with new names for things so they can say they've made changes and justify their £100k a year job.
