LukeC Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I have some windows 7 clients that time is stopping for them. ie a the users are saying their clock says 2:05 when it actually might be 2:10 they then are doing something and the time will jump to the correct time. It is random times during the day. Has any one any suggestions? DCs are all in sync all clients get their time from the DCS, which point to an external source.

ZeroHour Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Try setting the time correctly in the bios, I suspect Windows is having issues updating the bios time for some reason.

LukeC Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Time is correct in bios. Bit more information users are reporting its when they havnt been using their laptop for a period of time and when they start using it again the time will suddenly jump to the correct time.
LukeC Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 Update: I have found what is causing the issue - it is related to the Netsupport DNA agent running on the machines. For anyone else having the issue it has been reaised with the dev team.

For anyone else having the issue it has been reaised with the dev team. Thanks Luke for raising this with us, our Dev team are looking into the issue. The issue can be seen when DNA turns the screen off to save power. When the display is turned back on by the system being used the system tray clock is showing the time that the display was turned off, until the time next updates then it updates to the correct time. So there can me up to a minute when the incorrect time is being displayed. 1
