Number in Brackets query

Our admissions manager has a query with some brackets in SIMS image attached and query, anyone shed any light

 

"I need to know why after admission group it is showing the numbers in brackets once I have imported into pre-admissions"

Can you go to Routines - Admission - Admission Groups - Setup and set the Status to then "search" - screenshot the result and post it here?

Have you only just started using admission? As you don't seem to have any inactive admission groups from previous years.

Also if you open up the Autumn Y7 group, what is defined in there?

We have always used admissions, but it in SIMS guidance it was advised to deactivate previous years apparently.

I'm thinking that if you have deactivated prior admission groups then they are holing on to the name 'Year 7' in some way and because they are deactivated SIMS is allowing you to use the name again but isn't properly handling it in the background and appending the numbers you see. I suspect one screen is displaying the groups display name and the other is displaying the groups database identifier instead.

All sorted, thanks for the help, I had the Admissions Officer detail what they did incase anyone else has the same issue:

 

After a process of elimination, it was a naming issue as suggested in the previous post. I went through and renamed the active and inactive admission groups and now no longer have any bracketed numbers.
