Annoying issue with Start Menu

Hi all,

 

I'm rejigging our Start Menu and it's driving me nuts. I've seen examples of a Log Off tile being used and tiles to My Documents and Downloads, would anyone be willing to share how they got this done?

Create some shortcuts and add them as items in the start menu. Log Off will be logoff.exe

Not in our Windows 10 builds, figured why bother, should work if it's redirected though as this is the Windows Start Layout, not the program shortcuts

Hi Nick. Would you mind telling me what your "Home Drive.lnk" and "Shared Areas ®.lnk" shortcuts are pointing to. For home drive I've created a shortcut to %homeshare% but that doesn't seem to want to work, and my downloads link I'm using %userprofile%/downloads and that's also not working

do you map home directories to a drive letter, mine is h so i made shortcut to H:\

 

do you not redirect downloads to the home directory, then this would be h:\downloads

Good should about the drive letter, will test this now! To save space downloads get saved locally. What would you advise for the downloads shortcut?

try point the shortcut at

 

C:\Windows\explorer.exe %userprofile%\downloads

My shortcuts point to N:\ and R:\ respectively. O:\ for ODfB
