Hi all,

Recently installed the latest Smart Product Drivers 12.6 which has Smart Ink 4.1 bundled.

There is one particular setting in the 'Smart Ink Settings' panel which I am struggling to set automatically. I'm using the registry which lists every single setting except for the 'Enable the SMART Powerpoint plug-in'. I can't seem to get this to automatically be ticked when a user logs on (but can set what is ticked inside the tree of this setting). When it isn't ticked you cannot draw over powerpoints in slideshow mode (it only works without slideshow).

Any ideas where this particular setting is stored? If I enable it and re-log, it remembers the setting, so it must be set somewhere!

After looking around in every place possible I think I've found it - the registry setting is located in:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint\Addins\SMARTInk-PowerPoint-All]

"LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003

when it's set to "00000002" it disables. "00000003" for enable. Hope this helps anyone in future.

Has anybody struggled to get the smart ink to activate when in powerpoint presenter mode? For some reason when entering in presenter/slideshow mode we cannot use smart ink - it changes to this message:

Powerpoint add-in is loaded and the smart ink settings are all ticked for powerpoint. Anybody come across this issue? Works fine in everything else - even in powerpoint. It is only in the powerpoint slideshow that this happens.
