the issue I have with pre-N is that N hasn't been ratified.

Its' all about the gimic, why buy a wireless device that may not be compatible with the full N spec!!

 

They should advertise the N spec as an after thought, not as the main selling point.

 

Bring back 5.4......... I love that A spec!

my understanding is the latest N devices are draft-n which should mean they'll be more or less compatible with the ratified standard. Any changes to the final standard can be applied to draft-n devices via straightforward firmware upgrade. So draft-n gear should be a safe bet.
