maxrebo Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I thought this was going to be pretty straightforward but I seem to be going round in circles Setup VMware vCenter with 3 hosts - Fully Licensed Veeam Enterprise License In Veeam I have these 3 hosts and all VM`s are backing up to a NAS without any problem I have a spare VMware ESXI host (Where I setup a VM with a share to backup to) which I want to replicate VM`s to this (for DR Purposes). When I create a replication job from the VM I can only select a destination as one of the 3 hosts and not my spare Host. Am I missing something?
jtotheb Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 You need to add the host to the Backup Infrastructure part of Veeam. I'm 99.9% sure that you can't use it as a target if it's running Free ESXi, it needs something even if it's VMWare Essentials as I hit the same snag with a host used for testing.
maxrebo Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 Yep got it added there (in managed servers\standalone hosts) Im on the licenced VMware and Veeam
