So, tested the AP - fine and dandy - Tested cable using LAN tester - no signal on all eight wires. Took LAN box apart - looks fine, all wires attached. Tested patch panel cable - fine. Did a visual trace of cable from Rack to AP - looks fine. Somewhere is a complete break. Could it be the patch panel port - just the one? ... seems odd to me. What's the best way of fault finding/tracing the break?
FN-GM Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 What's the best way of fault finding/tracing the break? A fulke tester will tell you how far down the cable the break is. All decent data cable installers have one.
