ITGURU Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Hi I've started to set up DFS and successfully creates a Staff and Students Namespace. I then went to create an IT namespace but at the end of the wizard it came up with Failed - Path could not be found. Not sure why as it was pointed to the same server as the others. However, when I browse to \\domain\ the namespace I tried to create appears but within DFS management it doesn't. I then tried creating another one as a test, and that was successful. Why doesn't it like the word IT as a dfs name and how do I remove it when browsing the domain by \\domainname\ Thanks. Martin
ITGURU Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 Resolved this myself by going on the local DC, into Computer Management and local shares, The folder was there so just right clicked and did 'stop sharing' then it disappeared. Prior to doing this I checked adsiedit and it wasn't listed in the dfs part
