andydis Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Hello everyone , not used avaya in years but now in my new work we are, Years ago we had a client that sat on the PC and yo could double click names to call and see if they are on the phone etc (it was kind of like msn messenger) you could also double click phone numbers in your outlook contacts to ring them, does anytone know if it still exists or what its called? please note i dont mean the soft phone ,
synaesthesia Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Avaya were bought out I believe by BT to be used in their BT Onephone system - something we've had installed for a while now, hence why I recognised the client name Doubt it would therefore be available separately.
MatthewL Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 New one to me been bought out! BT use alot of Avaya kit in place of the old Nortel stuff. The tool your looking at is probably the OneX client but depends if your system is configured/licensed for it.
JoeBloggs Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 BT haven't ever bought out Avaya? But like @MatthewL says it will be Avaya One-X Portal which is an additional license cost. interesting Avaya have filed a section 11 in the US but I got an email from my Avaya rep saying it will be all fine and no affecting over seas Avayas!
kearton Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 They might be able to buy up the remnants cheap... Avaya have just filed for bankruptcy...
