enjay Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Cheeky request, but would someone who is actively using Office 365 and Microsoft Classroom be willing to give me a quick demo of it, or create me an account within your school? We currently have Google Apps, but are considering a move to MS. We reviewed them both at the time we adopted Google, but MS have improved a lot since then so we would like to repeat the comparison...
zag Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) We've just started using it and its fantastic! Here are the demos I sent the teachers to learn about it. So simple though Intro and setting up a class Setting up an assignment Edited January 16, 2017 by zag 1
mjk Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 MS have improved, but as they do so Google are still ahead of the game. The new differential tools, admin audits and parental access from Google are especially welcome, eliminating the need for tools such as show my homework. In the meantime, Microsofts roadmap for Classroom can be found here: https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/answer/6149237?hl=en 1
enjay Posted January 16, 2017 Author Posted January 16, 2017 Admin audits? I must have missed that - very useful, by the sound of it. I'll look into that. Re. parental access to G Classroom, my concern with this is the contact details need to be added by the teacher in each Classroom which is time-consuming and hugely prone to error as addresses change. I'd love a way we could add the parental contact information in bulk via the Admin Dashboard. Thanks for the roadmap link, very helpful.

enjay Posted January 16, 2017 Author Posted January 16, 2017 Ah, extremely tempting - we have Salamander already, too!
