mikeprice Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Hi all Our Unfi controller keeps reporting that it can see a rogue access point - address 2a:a1:83:ad:79:49 Blowed if I can find it but the systems doesn't say which AP detected the rogue so I have no clue where to look anyone any idea who uses these MAC adresses? or how to narrow down the location in the school TIA Mike
Cache Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 What version controller are you using? Ours is 4.8.20 - in Insights when you select Rogue Access Points in the table it says what the AP name is and where it was seen near.

Cache Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Just looked, didn't realise they were up to 5.4.9 so I'm a bit behind with not updating the APT source so it may well have changed. Best not do it tonight since we've got the big O in tomorrow....

mikeprice Posted January 17, 2017 Author Posted January 17, 2017 Right just been looking and I have found the insights stuff no rogue access points mentioned but plenty about nearby access points - which is interesting that has identified wher it is - roughly - now I just have to find the actual thing thanks to all for help Mike
