william_tropico Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Hello, We have LanSchool v8.0.0.42 installed across our site. Have both LanSchool Connection Server and LanSchool Report Server installed on separate servers. It all appears to be logging when you browse to the web interface but how do you go about exporting data from it? I can view and filter data but would like the following. How can I export websites visited by a single user export a list of students who accessed a certain website set e safety alerts It seems really laggy when browsing on the web interface. Anyone have any tips for getting data? Thank you.
stevewill6 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) I dont think you can through the web interface. I have had a good look. Unsure if you can access the data directly without the web interface. Update ------- It cant be done through the web interface. But you can run reports on the database through a SQLlite browser. See link for Database field names - https://helpdesk.stone-ware.com/portal/helpcenter/articles/lanschool-reporting-server-database Not had a chance to do it my self yet. william_tropico Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Thanks @stevewill6. I will give it a try next week.
LanSchool_EDU Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Thank you @stevewill6. You are correct. Currently, you need to use SQL Database tools as outlined in the article. @william_tropico, did this work for you? william_tropico Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 @william_tropico, did this work for you? Hello. For some reason the database file was not in the location mentioned on the help guide. Ended up contacting support who mentioned that sometimes the file is in SysWOW64. Once I had the file I was able to open it in a sql viewer. Thank you, William
