Redirected Start menu

We are redirecting our start menu however it isn't showing just the redirected items it is showing all the other shortcuts that would normally form part of a non-redirected start menu. I seem to recall there is a gpo setting to turn this off somewhere as I think it did the same in windows 7 only I can't find it anymore anyone know where it is?

you want to enable the policy to remove common programs from the start menu. it's in GP.

how it to enable ? I also want to remove these unnecessary programs
