Resetting SIMS behaviour and achievement

Hi,

 

My SLT has asked if it is possible to reset all pupils’ SIMS behaviour and achievement points at the start of each term so they start with a clean slate whilst still maintaining a record of their previous points.

 

I am almost certain that this can’t be done. Has anybody else been asked something similar and did you find a workaround?

Not something I have seen done within SIMS direct. Best you could probably do is export a report to Excel and manipulate the data there.

No you can't re-set the conduct system in SIMS in that manner, however what we've done for a few schools is implement a system where by the behavior points and Achievement points are piped out via command reporter to a formatted XML file (in the format of an assessment manager results file) which then populates an assessment template each night allowing the schools to do what they want with the values and easily report on them in most areas of SIMS. One school allows students to spend their achievement points for rewards, another wanted a half termly total recording, etc.
