JJonas Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 We are about to start looking at Chromebooks for use by our students and need to get one in. What do you recommend? as usual they need to be amazing but we don't want to pay lots for them!
ITBadger Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 We have nearly 300 Viglen Chromebook 11's from XMA. They've proved to be reliable, easy / cheap to repair when the little darlings vandalise them, and are covered by a three year warranty. They were also very reasonably priced. 1
FN-GM Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Wave just over 300 Dell Chromebook 11's here. They are pretty solid. I have one for my use and I knocked one off a top of a rack and it didn't have a scratch on it. Really pleased with them. 1
jtotheb Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I've got a lot of time for the Dell 3120 11 inchers. Dell Chromebook 11 | Dell UK They feel like you could drive a tank over them. Note: I haven't tried driving over them with a tank or otherwise. 1

We have 40 Dell Chromebook 11's but getting parts for them has been impossible. You can get parts in the US but haven't had any luck in the UK. Dell were useless when we tried them. Sent us 3 completely wrong parts when we asked for a screen replacement after 1 had been damaged. Gave up on asking Dell for anything else. @FN-GM would be interested to know where you get parts from. 1

So no need to source our own parts

We have had 3 damaged 'accidentally'. We managed to repair 2 by buying off ebay but havent had any luck with the 3rd.

I do have spares in storage so I can use them to cover in the event one is wrecked or stolen.
