how can i prevent users changing wallpaper/screensaver?

Has anyone found an easy way of preventing children from circumventing the preference restrictions on networked accounts?

I have turned off "desktop and screensaver" in the preferences of both individuals and their groups- but they right-click on their desktops and change them that way.

Some of them are rather distracting!

Sorry mate, didn't mean to sound a bit rude on my previous post :o

I can't check it out on my Mac as I took it home to try to upgrade, but I found this post, maybe it'll help you?

If not, there are guys here that know more about Mac's than me :)

You may need to supply some more information - e.g. are the Macs using OpenDirectory for management, what kind of users have you set up, how have you tried to limit this setting so far, etc.

This may be slight different to what you're looking for, but have you heard of a program called "Deep Freeze"?

Deep Freeze Mac instantly protects and preserves baseline computer configurations. No matter what changes a user makes to a workstation, simply restart to eradicate all changes and reset the computer to its original state - right down to the last byte.
