TwistedHelixis Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Just found out that Google have released a very simple app builder for use within G Suite systems. https://blog.google/products/g-suite/customize-your-g-suite-experience-app-maker-and-recommended-apps/ Might have a play with this when I get some time.
tj2419 Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Can you get this on education or is it business customers only? If you’re interested in trying out App Maker, it’s available today through our Early Adopter Program for G Suite Business customers.
SpaceInvader83 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 " For now, we’re limiting the EAP to G Suite Business customers (sorry, no Education or Government edition customers at this time) based in the USA."
fiza Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Old thread I know but is anyone using Google App Maker in their School with Students? If so how is it?
tj2419 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 I've had a little play but to do any of the really cool apps looks like you have to be using Google cloud storage or SQL paid for. Doesn't seem a huge amount you can do with data in a Google sheet. I maybe wrong as it was only a brief look so far.
XiJ Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Yeah the google cloud sql paid sub stopped me playing with it just this week. I’m going to read up on using external DB though.
mjk Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 A micro SQL cloud server costs less under £6 per month, not exactly a deal breaker. You could always script it to shut down at night if you are really worried about the cost.
XiJ Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 We can do that ourselves at work. I just want to play with it initially.

Arthur Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Google are shutting down App Maker on 19/01/2021. https://support.google.com/a/answer/9682494
DrCheese Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Christ. Do Google keep anything going longer than 5 minutes?
