ICT Manager - Virtue Technologies/Appleton Academy (Bradford) - to 35k - Closes 11/12

Virtue Technologies wish to appoint an experienced ICT Manager to work predominantly with one of our customers, Appleton Academy. All applicants should have a desire to lead the delivery of outstanding ICT Services at a strategic level to support both the education of students and the operation of schools.

We do this by providing a customised and local service that is both flexible and innovative. An ISO9001 accredited company and Department for Education ICT Framework Supplier, Virtue Technologies is a leading provider of IT solutions to local authorities, schools, regional broadband consortia, academy trusts and colleges and businesses.

 

Working within Appleton Academy for 3 days per week, the successful candidate will also spend time working with Virtue Technologies’ other customers to improve their ICT environments.

 

The successful applicant will:

 

 

• Lead the Academy’s ICT Team and inspire them to deliver an outstanding service
  
• Work at a strategic level with the school’s staff and Senior Leadership Team as well as manage, develop and motivate the school’s ICT Team.
  
• Be innovative, collaborative and an excellent communicator.
  
• Be looking to make a valuable contribution to both Virtue Technologies and Appleton Academy.
  
• Have a track record of delivering 1st Class ICT Services, ideally in an education environment.
  
• Be responsible for the development and implementation of school policies and procedures for the safe, effective and innovative use of ICT within the school environment.
  
• Manage and maintain the network system and co-ordinate the efficient operation of all computers and associated equipment within school.
  
• Own, deliver and maintain the ICT Improvement Plan and other Management documentation.
  
• Be responsible for the analysis, evaluation and detailed reporting to Senior Management in relation to all aspects of ICT provision.
