Koldov Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Hi All, I am trying to source batteries for a couple of old laptops. Although I would rather have the genuine article it is proving a little more difficult to source them (as well as expensive). However, I'm not too concerned about the cost as the alternative maybe leaking/exploding batteries and associated lawsuits! I would like to ask what the general feeling is about generic laptop batteries and if anyone is happy to purchase them, where they would suggest is the best place to do so. Also, the batteries in question are: Toshiba Tecra A11-17k (PA3788U-1BRS) and HP Pavilion dm1-2010sa (PT06055) if anybody has a supplier for original parts!
Fazza Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 We always get generic batteries - 2Power is the one we normally go with and they work just as well as a branded one. Used them for years.
hallb15 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I use CBC Computers for Toshiba spares. I'm not sure if they do HP or not but no harm in asking... CBC Computers | Sheffield | UK [email protected]
