FN-GM Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to query a machine to see if it is UEFI during OSD please? I don't really want a 2 separate task sequence for BIOS and UEFI. Thanks
free780 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Its built in. In the default task sequences both BIOS and uefi are present. You do have to boot into x64 boot to deploy x64 OS or x86 boot for x86 OS.
FN-GM Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) I don't have that default TS. Besides the installation is from the says before UEFI was supported on SCCM. If someone has the details for this TS please? I can try recreate it Edited November 15, 2016 by FN-GM
Blue_Cookeh Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) You need to go through the Task Sequence wizard for it... but here it is, I believe it only affects the partitioning stage. It looks like you want the SMSTSBootUEFI variable: Edited November 15, 2016 by Blue_Cookeh 1
Arthur Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 the installation is from the says before UEFI was supported on SCCM. Have you already got the UEFI PXE boot working too? e.g. https://2pintsoftware.com/whitepaper-using-dhcp-uefi-bios-pxe-booting/
