OK so I'm being a bit of a numpty this morning.

I've just added a location to Flash Player trusted locations via the control panel on my PC. Just gone to pick up the changes to send to all PC's in the school and I can't for the life of me see where it's written it to. Can't find it in the registry and the mms.cfg in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash doesn't have it in either.

Can someone put an old clearly confused geek out of their misery and share the secret?

Thanks as always

Never mind, just found it. In-case it drives anyone else mad it saves it to

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol

i add a .cfg file into macromed folder which has a list of the sites i want to be trusted locations and that works as well

Hi @SHimmer45

I've still got issues with this, would you be kind enough to post a sample of your .cfg file (one exception would be fine) plus what it's called and where you save it?

Tearing out what little hair I have left over this....

from my short notes from a moon ago

create flashplayertrust folder in c:\windows\system32\macromed

then create a .cfg file with the trusted location inside the file (i name each file the same as the location i wish to trust, i guess you could have one file doing a whole list

i have one internal location for some flash content which is just pasted into a single line in the file

Capture1.JPGCapture2.JPGCapture3.JPG

hope that proves a little useful i have only ever needed to use it for a local location but the setting according to the flash docs should be a machine setting rather than per user which is think is what the .sol file (i guess you could jump that in programdata to have the same result?)

Thanks so much for this, followed your guide and got the whole site sorted in under 5 minutes. Been driving me mad all day trying to do that :)

Right on to the next "simple" job in my list....

Cheers
