AirPrint to Networked Sharp Printer from MacBook & iOS [HELP]

Hi,

Printer: Sharp 3140N

AirPrint seems to be very temperamental and usually restarting the service would sort it out. We use EveryonePrint & Equitrac and what should happen is when you are connected to the correct WiFi, you can print via AirPrint and an authentication window pops up and allows you to login using your AD Credentials so you can go pick it up from one of the Sharp Printers.

I have tried setting up just one of the printers using the IP Address and different protocols (AirPrint, IPP & LPD) all to see if this changed anything but no luck.

From a Mac it completely doesn't work but on an iOS Device it pops up when printing from Safari however I have had reports from others that have said only word works.

Strict authentication is enabled which means the login box / auth window should be forced each time and credentials are only cached for 5 minutes.

Any help is appreciated :becky:

If you have any other issues, or anyone else wants to achieve the same as Dan then I can recommend Presto which allows printing from iOS & Chromebook and also allows authentication to be saved on 1-2-1 devices thus removing the need to authenticate every print job. Works with Equitrac too.
