coreykeeling Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Morning all, As the title says has anyone from Staffordshire moved away from Entrust/SCC broadband, phones and admin server as we are currently going through the motions of switching away from SCC/Entrust and would like to talk to someone who has gone through the same process. Regards Corey
Wave9_Lee Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Hi Corey, We've helped several schools move. If you need help, drop me a line (we are a provider, not a school or school tech tho) regards Lee
nathan3388 Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 We moved away from staffs ICT about 10 years ago and broadband about 7 years ago and install our own voip system. We also do our own filtering. We have also converted 5 primary schools that we not look after and all there services come through to use. We still pay the county for sims support and the upgrades just incase something goes wrong then they can help. to start off with it is a big thing but in the long run you have far more control over your network and what you can do. 1

Thanks Nathan, I am looking forward to having far more control over the admin network when it is integrated into the curriculum network. It will also save money on getting admin machines rebuilt which we did recently and was charged over £200 for the privilege. 1
