GAPS not syncing password changes on one DC

Hello,

 

We have been using GADS/GAPS for a little while now and its been setup and running without issue. Over the summer we decommissioned an old DC and setup a new one. I then installed GAPS on the new DC and all seemed well, configured and authorized okay, etc. I have recently realised though that some users passwords are not syncing to Google Apps and it appears to be the ones updated from AD on the new DC. The other DC is still working fine with GAPS. I am receiving the error in event logs:

 

The description for Event ID 41777 from source Google Apps Password Sync (Google Connector) [password_sync_service] cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

 

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

An API call to the Google server returned an unexpected response while updating the password for account '[email protected]' during the 'PasswordSyncTask::PatchUser' step; all retries have been exhausted.

So it seems to not be syncing successfully and timing out. I have reviewed the GAPS config, all okay, uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but the issue persists. We also use a Sophos UTM and I have ensured the new DC can access the required URL's.

 

I have been on the phone to google but so far they haven't been much help, which is strange as they are normally superb, but I am getting passed around abit currently. Can anyone suggest anything for me to check?
