Showmyhomework vs moodle - are they same.

We use Showmyhomework and some of the teachers were asking to have moodle for our school so that teachers can add resources for a lessons and also giving grades and feedback.

I was wondering showmyhomework is similar to moodle and thinking have one system,

One of the schools I work with use moodle with the Overnet Data Home Block plugin. http://www.overnetdata.com/products/edulink-homework-moodle-block/edulink-homework/ it give it something like show my home work.

Google Classroom works pretty well with Moodle if you want a free* option with parent notifications.

 

*you may need to pay for SIMS integrations.

As we already have showmyhomework, was wondering if we can use this instead of having moodle.
