The school wishes to appoint an experienced IT Technician. Summer Fields has ambitious plans for improving IT that represent great opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant and tangible difference to the School. Principal IT projects include continual improvement to the network infrastructure, exploitation of the school’s Virtual Leaning Environment, expanding the use of IT in the classroom to enable more flexible learning and improvements to the school’s Management Information System. The IT development agenda offers great opportunity for personal career development.The IT Technician will report to the IT Network Manager and between them they will deliver all aspects of IT support for this busy school. The role will require a broad range of involvement, across most school operations based on meeting the agreed IT support service levels. The post will provide a good balance of IT network related technical work coupled with providing direct support to the academic staff, helping to build confidence in their use of IT for teaching.
