Windows 10 - Weird Issue

Weird issue 498 in Windows 10 -

 

I have a use who doesn't get anything displayed when she clicks on MY PC. No mapped drives, no local drives (I've used the reg key to hide the folders but have tried it with them shown too)

 

If you open explorer and type c:\ or any of the mapped drives it finds them.

 

They arent listed on the left either, i have clicked around for ages but cant find anything. This actually happened on Windows 7 which is why I went to W10 but its followed her... so its a policy issue except there isnt one that i can see that affects her as she sint the only one in the OU using the policy.

 

I've even moved her to a different OU, removed her group membership and still nothing in there.

 

I copied her account and tried that.. same thing.. just weird.

 

It cant be the PC, its been wiped

It cant be polices, i've tested without applying them

It cant be profiles, she has a new one

 

Baffling me

 

I ran RSOP and nothing jumps out, I went in and made show the show locl drives was set to show all drives too but thats not fixed it.

I've seen this on 7, fixed it by editing the local policy to hide c drive, then unhide it after a reresh. I don't think it was actually the cause, but reset some explorer registry extensions and made it work again!

 

Although multiple machines/profiles are odd. Check group memberships and other things like expired password etc.
