Citrix H264 wont start RPi-TC Linux

I've been creating a standard pi2/3 image for use within our environment using RPi-TC from Raspberry Pi Thin Client project as a starting point and Citrix Reciver.

 

 

I’ve run all updates

I’ve got the image to rename on startup.

i have firefox starting up in kiosk mode with password to exit, the homepage is set to our Citrix Gateway.

I’ve removed all the keyboard commands.

I’ve removed and hidden all menu's

I’ve placed shortcuts we need on the desktop

I’ve set up SSH access and VNC to the pi's

I’ve modified the startup

I’ve fixed the citrix libproxy.so fault

 

 

when i run the finished image i get our Citrix Gateway up, I’m able to log in and run Citrix Reciver using ctxjpeg_fb.so and/or ctxjpeg_fb_8.so

Everything is fine until you try and run a video, where the frame rate tanks and audio stutters. I’ve change settings in module.ini to keep video rendering server side following guidance at

I’ve then tried to enable h264 encoding to try and get a higher fps from the server, I’ve tried this in two ways using the RPi-TC builder and instructions at

 

 

Citrix Receiver H.264 Hardware Acceleration on Raspberry Pi 2

 

 

When i try and run citrix reciver via our gateway with H264 on, it tries to load with the ip address of the server then crashes out.

From what I can see all files from hello_pi are missing from this distro, namely ilclient and vgfont, according to the above guide they are needed for H264 to function.

 

 

i have tried to make the libraries form the github entry but i think there are more prerequisites missing than i can find. One example is that the make command is not present.

 

 

We currently use some ThinLinx pi2 boards which works with H264 rendering, giving smooth audio and video.

 

 

Anyone else gone down this rabbit hole?
