Steve21 Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Morning All, Just trying to add a new thirdparty user to SIMs and everyone I try to save it it comes up with: "Unable to add a role membership 15410 user of Role "oldserver"\DiscoverTransfer does not exist in this database" Is there something that the migration should have changed for this to show it to the new server? Can't find anything that says a setting linked to it, and even with no groups assigned to the user I get the same error. Thanks, Steve
UnknownStuntman Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 We get this error too, never got to the bottom of why, it does save the change (usually just applying the correct ad username that all i do in it) just get that error then close saying no to save and refresh and my change shows. Would love to get rid of it so will watch the thread with interest.
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 This error is in the SQL database, SIMS has the logins stored in 2 places, 1 in the system databases and the other in the SIMS database. When we get this we used to have to ask Capita to dial in and fix it, but a while ago they gave us instructions to do it ourselves. Log a call with your SIMS support and they (or Capita) will be able to solve it. The fix only takes about 2 minutes.

Thansk, Will chase them up, hand a call open since Friday with no responses yet Steve
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 With Census on Thursday, many Support units are very busy with calls, it's not unexpected for non-census calls to take a slightly lower priority than usual during this period.
