superfletch Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) Hiya, Hope this thread is in the right place - I nearly put it under the Mac / OSX / MacServer forum but thought that was wrong when I read the sticky.... I'm a bit (very) new to iPad management and have inherited a setup using Profile Manager (it's on Mac OS 10.11.5 El Capitan) where about 100 iPads are grouped into 4 classes (using Device Groups) which allows them to have specific apps sent to them. To help the teachers out we want to configure the layout of the screens (where the apps appear - grouping them into subjects and so on so that each iPad is more or less the same). I've found the group settings for this under the "settings / home screen settings" area and I started playing on a test device group. However when I go to add apps onto a home screen or in a folder the only items I can choose seem to be the stock apps - I can't pick the other apps which I have deployed to that group from the group settings "Apps" area. Is there something I need to do to make this possible? Another related question - is it possible to get out (export to csv or similar) a list of all the apps within profile manager including how many of each are available / used - I don't really fancy copying them all out? Thanks in advance. Edited September 17, 2016 by superfletch
superfletch Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 OK - I found the answer, you just need to start typing the app name - it isn't in the list by default, only stock apps are. Once you start typing enough of the name the other assigned apps show up.
