Duranis Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 So one of my teachers has a Macbook Air and wants Smartnotebook on it. Previously with Yosemite I could kludge it together by installing Ruby 1.8. Tried this on El Capitan (had to disable system protection to install it) but Smart immediately crashes when run. Exception type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Class: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS AT Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY Anyone manged to get this working? I know running 11.4 is less than ideal but I doubt I can change it here at the moment as A) subscription costs and B) they don't like change, especially if the only real reason is for one teacher that has a Mac at home.
Sagima Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 If a mac person wants to use smart notebook here they use it via remoteapp (might be a lot of work) or they use the free web one http://express.smarttech.com 2
Duranis Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 use the free web one http://express.smarttech.com I did not know that this existed! Thank you very much, at least now I can offer her an alternative solution.
2ilent8cho Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 No we had to upgrade to the latest version of SMART Notebook which is version 14 or 15.
