Windows 7 - Dell OptiPlex 3030 - Screen keeps freezing and unresponsive

Recently purchased a batch of Dell OptiPlex 3030 AIO devices. I'm having a peculiar problem whereby intermittently the AIO device is becoming unresponsive in that I can see the Ctrl + Alt + Del screen but the keyboard doesn't work, nor does the mouse, in fact even trying to RDP to it just fails. The only way to bring it back to life is to reboot it and continue as before until it happens again.

I have trawled through the Event Viewer and there is next to nothing in there that is indicating the problem.

I deploy all our OS out via Microsoft Deployment Toolkit. I have also tried the traditional way from a disc in case it was something in our build that was causing it but it's still a problem.

I have used the Driver Verifier to try and cause it to BSOD to which it has. Therefore below I attach the Minidump folder, as well as the Memory.DMP and also a copy of MSINFO32.

I'd be really grateful if someone could take a look and let me know where I'm going wrong. I'm almost certain it's a driver related problem.

Is it one device, or the whole batch? If just one, potential hardware fault, run the onboard diagnostics.

If it's the whole batch, I'd be inclined towards either dodgy BIOS or graphics driver. Have you updated everything to the latest from the Dell support site? You may also find a more up to date driver on the graphics vendors site, eg Intel.

What have Dell support said?

Dell came out yesterday and replaced the motherboard. Same thing happening this morning. It does seem to be the batch.

I have upgraded all the drivers from the Dell site. I then went onto the Intel site for the Graphics but there wasn't an upgraded version.

Have you tried running Windows 7 with nothing but the NIC drivers for a while? This might tell you whether it's hardware or drivers, although would give you a horrible desktop experience for a while.

Or perhaps try it with Windows 8 / 10 see if the problem persists, purely for testing.

Try running in safe mode for few hours and see how this goes. If it goes well then try removing drivers one by one until you find the culprit.

Do you have this issue when someone logon or only at the logon screen?

It is only at the logon screen. If you're logged in it's absolutely fine from what I can tell.

Safe mode isn't a valid test in this instance because it doesn't seem to load the graphics driver therefore doesn't detect a secondary display.

Yes, we're due to buy some more as long as this problem can be sorted by Dell but going for the 3240 model.

Yes, they use the VGA out to a projector. It does the same with a monitor on a desk though too.

I've also tried one of our USB to HDMI adapters to a projector/monitor and there's no problem. I think it is related to the VGA only.
