Does anyone have experience with doing logical data recovery on failing hard disks? I use HDD Sentinel and HDD Regenerator where possible, but there are always drives that seemingly look good(ish) then suddenly tank when you try and read or access them.

I'm looking for a program that will read and skip over bad areas but log which LBS/Sectors it just in case I need to repair that sector.

Most of the apps I see today are so focused on "recovering" data, few (that I saw) offer the ability to simply read what's good, abandon the rest and let me sort through what I can get.

Any ideas?

I've always had fantastic results with ZAR
