HELP! Parent Pay / Temp UPN / NRS

Does anyone know - what would happen with above if we issued temp UPNs to about 15 students then changed them to correct perm once we have them? Would all accounts auto re-align etc?

When the MISSink software will run with the new UPN's added against the 15 students then they would generate new accounts and logins for those pupils again. Therefore all balances and transactions would not follow them either as all runs off the UPN. However, if you had to go down this road then you could use the manual finance feature in ParentPay to debit the student accounts with the temporary UPN and credit the same amount into their new accounts with the correct UPN's.

I'm pretty sure that it's the Admission Number that links everything together once the students are admitted and so updating the UPN won't recreate the account.

 

For example: I know this isn't a Pre-Admission upload but...

When you do a pre-admission upload, the Admission No becomes the pupil ID which is why account and payment details are not lost come September. If you then run your full upload when students have been admitted, even the ones without UPN's get uploaded because they have an Admission No!

 

I could be wrong but I'm sure I've had a very similar conversation with ParentPay. Definitely worth confirming with ParentPay though!

It's based on admission number, we ran into an issue where a child A withdrew their application before the start of the term so admin team reused admission number for child B after the users were created in parent pay and crb. Parents fo child A changed mind after a month and joined us so child Awas given new admission number. It took parent pay and cunninghams a day to sort through databases and fix issue.
