[sims] Can the 'Promotion Data Check' running now undo any prior promotion?

I suspect this is a very stupid question but I'm having a panic! I wanted to go in and check something in the promotion rules and a 'Promotion Data Check' warning popped up saying that SIMS wanted to check pastoral groupings first. I clicked OK and it started checking the promotion rules and memberships. It was scrolling through for ages and I started to worry that it might undo some of the curriculum assignment that my colleagues have been working on.

 

Could it have overwritten any changes or am I being overly paranoid?
