Android DAB Tuning Software

I've just brought a Mondeo and got one of these Pumpkin head units (with DAB module) to go in it: Pumpkin 7-inch Touchscreen 2 DIN Quad Core Android 5.1 for Ford Focus/Mondeo Car GPS DVD Player Supporting DAB+OBD2(Grey)

Oh, and many thanks for @Drummer_Boy (my brother) for fitting it for me!

 

It's a great unit and fully featured with everything you need. It also has the advantage of being cambus compatible and works with the steering wheel controls out of the box.

My only gripe however is that the default launcher and DAB tuner app are pretty 'basic' I solved the launcher issue by spending a couple quid on Car Launcher Pro:

 

 

The bundled DAB tuner app though is very poor. I'm looking at getting this (Wavesink + DAB+) tomorrow which looks to be very promising as well as well being able to replace the default FM tuner app

 

 

If any of you know or can recommend a DAB tuner app, a proper one that speaks to a DAB tuner and not one that uses the internet to stream stations then please feel free to let me know.

Head to XDA forums and you will find plenty of info on these machines..

Browse the 'Android Auto' forum and drill down a little further into the threads..you will find your question has indepth Q&As

I have had a Joying for over a year and am happy with it..

 

There is even custom ROMs for them now, which gives you a lot of customization.. plus also the Russians have been doing some good stuff with the standard apps the Chinese provide..
