There are quite a few UK exhibitors there but teaching staff are few and far between. We do bump into quite a lot of other UK companies visiting to see what the educational IT trends are over there. Primerily though, we are there to see our US members who account for about a third of our traffic.

It is, however, quite a different show from BETT as it has a primary focus on educator training and break-out sessions. The IT expo (whilst still an important part of the event) is almost a sideshow and with it only running for two and a half days can be very hectic at times.

As regards costs, the main chunk is taken up by flights but since the advent of AirBnB we can rent a house to accomodate us all for far less than the cost of a hotel. Not to mention it saves on food as well as we can just order take out for evening meals and have a normal breakfast (cereal, toast etc.) without breaking the bank :)

The show itself moves around each year so we have done (since 2010) Denver, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Antionio and Atlanta, but it is hard work, especially with jet lag to factor in.
