Hi,

I'm using AOMEI to do a quick dirty image of Windows 7. I know this isn't the best option but it's all i have for now.

Anyway, as part of creating the AOMEI boot disk it used WAIK (I ran this boot disk creation on my windows 10 machine)

now i've booted form this boot disk (well actually its a usb drive) and captured the windows 7 image, and deployed it to a PC. Now for some reason when this windows 7 machine starts, before it gets to windows the windows load screen, has the progress bar of windows 8 (see http://winsupersite.com/site-files/winsupersite.com/files/archive/winsupersite.com/content/content/128146/showcase/winvista_install_clean_002.jpg) rather than the windows 7 startup progress bar.

no idea why this has happened, but its strange.

any suggestions please?

Yeah, this is the splash screen which is displayed either when the screen resolution is below a certain size (1024x768 I think) or when one/both of the following files are missing: bootres.dll & bootres.dll.mui. I also have a feeling there's a flag that can be set in the boot configuration which also allows this one to be displayed instead of the usual.
