fiza Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 I am using GADS to set up groups in GAfE. The 'LDAP data' retrieval and the 'Google Data' retrieval happens quickly. GADS gets stuck on 'Apply Changes' and sits at 'creating group [email protected] After about 4 minutes it goes to 'changes applied' but looking at the log file I get this error Unable to create 1 new groups Group: "[email protected]" Error while creating group [email protected] - com.google.api.client.googleapis.json.GoogleJsonResponseException: 503 Service Unavailable { "code" : 503, "errors" : [ { "domain" : "global", "message" : "A system error has occurred", "reason" : "backendError" } ], "message" : "A system error has occurred" } If I then look in the Admin Console the group has been created. Anyone have any ideas?
googlemad Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Are you running the latest version of GADS? (4.2.1 as of this post) When I set up GADS it would often chuck out weird error messages in the status reports at random for no real reason, but they fixed it in the later version Never synced groups though just users so might not resolve your issue but worth a go! 1

DarrellR Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Have you enabled API's ? https://support.google.com/a/answer/60757?hl=en little thing I always seem to forget to do as it is disabled by default.

fiza Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 Google have been in touch and have said it's a known issue. They will fix it in the background.
