Hi all,

Weird one, teacher came to me complaining of loss of screen when using projector, i presumed he didn't change the output using windows+p.

Oh no, completely different,

When he dupes screen onto projector and opens a PowerPoint, then continues to either press ESC or end the slide show, the laptop itself displays a small centered image of the desktop background, with a thick

black border around the outside, with no visible icons, start menu, button presses or anything - but the slideshow remains on the projector. The only way to gain control back of his desktop is by disconnecting the projector again.

Note: they are the old Samsung laptops that connect via docking station - but i wouldn't imagine it to be causing the issue.

Any bright ideas?

That part works, he gets the view on his laptop and the presentation on the projector - its when he tries to exit the viewer on his laptop, or end the slideshow, he gets the aforementioned small desktop image with black bars and cannot access his desktop again until he windows+p and disconnects from projector. :/
