Vista + VB login script

Anyone else using logon scripts in VB with vista, the normal BAT files work fine but the VB script for installing printers crashes out with the following errors.

 

Error: the remote procdure call failed

code: 800706BE

 

Some may call me crazy but i've got 2 pc's running vista in our main suite as a test see what issues we will get later down the line and so fair this is the only issue, fingers crossed.

I have had that same crash out when adding certain printers via the GUI. Had to reset the spooler service on the client to make it go through. Seemed fine once the driver had been copied over by the first attempt though as all subsequent attempts succeeded.

Thanks SYNACK, any chance you could let me see ya script so i can compare see if i've got something wrong?

Sorry Dave I experienced the error when adding the printers manually in the windows explorer GUI. For the moment I have not tried any VBScript methods as the small site that I have running Vista is not really using a domain.

Not a problem SYNACK, i seem to have found a work around for now, if installed once under local admin the domain users do not have issues running the script.

In my PC mag this month there was an article about Vista templates needing editing on a Vista workstation not the MS server 2003. Is this true or has this been overcome with any patches for Server 2003 from Microsoft yet?
