Patrick Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Afternoon, Been asked to install Sketchup Make, i downloaded the Sketchup Make exe installer and extracted the MSI from it for deployment. However, when i tested it i found that the software is in trial mode, i don't want the software to be in pro trial mode, expire then need some sort of settings being changed network wide, that'll be a pain as you can imagine. The method of "#NoTrial" being added to the .license file doesn't seem to work. Anyone got an older MSI that is free version only? Thanks!
DavR Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Have you tried just setting your system time forward a month to see what happens when the trial is over? I seem to remember it being fairly innocuous. Failing that I've got MSIs for versions 7, 14 & 15. Not sure what the trial behaviour is on any of these though.
Patrick Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 So it doesn't pop up asking for serial numbers etc? I haven't tried that but might give it a go.
DavR Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Not that I recall, but I haven't done anything with it for a while. Even if it does, there's probably a "don't ask again" checkbox you can track down to a reg key. I'd definitely find out what happens after the trial expires, and mute it if necessary, rather than install an out of date version.
Patrick Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Trouble is i'm not sure which versions don't install as a trial!
Arthur Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) The method of "#NoTrial" being added to the .license file doesn't seem to work. Does your SketchUp.lic file look exactly like this... ##NonCommercialUse,NoTrial If not, it won't work. Anyone got an older MSI that is free version only? The latest version works fine for me using the MST in this thread. Edited June 6, 2016 by Arthur 1

Patrick Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 Your MST worked perfect. Not sure how i missed that thread. Thanks anyway!
